At Advocate for Me, we specialise in supporting children with developmental delay or disability (0-12) to reach their functional goals. In doing this, we support them within their natural environments; home, preschool or school and community.
At Advocate for Me, we recognise learning and practicing our skills is often more fun and beneficial in a group. With this in mind, we offer the opportunity for children with similar social or functional needs to come together, form connections with others and practice their skills. Together we celebrate wins, big or small, with our supportive, new friends.
At Advocate for Me we acknowledge there are topics we need to delve deeper into, maybe consult industry professionals and sit for a day or two building on our learning. To allow us to dig in and get our hands dirty we offer workshops on topics important to you.
At Advocate for Me, years of experience as a Primary School teacher and then 10 years working with children with additional needs and their parents/carers, has lead me to value Educational Consultancy. Significant importance is placed on the relationship between a child, their parents/carers and their educational team.
Let's talk about technology... At Advocate for Me, we view technology as a tool for learning by enhancing children's creativity, independence, and a platform for visually teaching skills. We acknowledge there is a variety in the quality and the suitability of technology available for your child.
Advocate for Me acknowledges the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of this nation.
